SIMONA® PPs Piping Systems
Safe transport of air and aggressive gases
Because of its lower flammability, PPs is often used for ventilation and exhaust air piping in industrial facilities and buildings. PPs is a low-flammability polypropylene which complies with building material class B1 (to DIN 4102) thanks to the addition of flame retardants.
In industrial facilities, thermoplastics with low flammability are used to remove air and aggressive gases, because metal materials are vulnerable due to their susceptibility to corrosion.
SIMONA® PP-EL-s is used for potentially explosive atmospheres, where static charges can occur with liquids or dusts. To safely discharge the static electricity, piping systems have to be made of conductive materials.
